Rows that do not map to one of the five sleeves are grouped into Other and counted against the equity sleeve, which is usually where they belong. You can override that after importing. Be careful with this if your book is not a five-sleeve book: credit, commodities, REITs and currency positions all land in Other, and Other counts as equity risk. If those are a real part of what you hold, the drift table will overstate your equity weight until you move them by hand — the model itself only allocates across the five sleeves, so there is nowhere else for them to go.
Drift is your weight minus the model weight, in percentage points. The builder never places an order and never tells you to; the table is there so you can decide what, if anything, to do about it.
Export from your broker, import here
Every broker we have looked at can export a positions list. Download it, drop it on the previous tab, and map the columns. That is the whole integration.
CSV or TSV only. The parser reads text, in your browser, so an .xlsx workbook, an IBKR Flex XML file or a PDF statement will not load — open it in a spreadsheet and Save As CSV first. It handles comma, semicolon and tab separators and comma decimals, so a European export does not need cleaning up.
Rulebook Wealth never asks for a trading key. There is nothing in this product that can place an order, so there is nothing that needs a trading credential. There is one optional connection — a read-only custody link under Settings that reads balances so the book keeps itself up to date — and it refuses any key carrying trade, withdrawal or transfer scope. Typing the percentages below needs no key at all, and that is still the route we recommend. If a service ever asks you for trading keys in order to show you a chart, that is worth a second thought.
The importer looks for a text column and a numeric column and shows you what it found before it changes anything. If the numbers are amounts rather than percentages, enter your portfolio value below and it converts them.
Kept in this browser only. It is never sent to us and never stored on your account.
The model works in weights, so amounts add nothing it can use and everything a leak could cost. We do not want your balance, your broker or your account number, and the schema has no field for any of them.
What leaves this page
Almost nothing. The file you drop is read by your browser and never uploaded. Only the five resulting percentages are saved to your profile, and only when you press Apply.
